Welcome! We’re glad you’re here.
WS Strathfield has two English speaking congregations.
Strathfield 9am & 4:30pm are energetic, multi-cultural, cross-generational congregations excited about the gospel of Jesus Christ! We maintain a tradition of strong biblical teaching through our Sunday services as well as our associated ministries. Our congregation has a culture of being committed to growing, serving, and training in ministry. Although we are part of a Chinese church, our ministry is to people of all backgrounds.

We are happy to invite you to join us for church. As our government has eased Covid-19 restrictions, we are meeting in-person and no longer providing a live-stream of our services. You can still check out our archive of sermons on our Sermons page or on YouTube.
We would love to have you come along. If you have any questions, feel free to fill in a response form or message us on Facebook and Instagram. Most of our updates are on social media so you can follow us there to get our latest updates.

For parents with babies and toddlers there is a glass panelled soundproof cry room at the back of the hall where you are able to listen to and watch the service.
For toddlers who are happy to leave their parents, there is a crèche program downstairs.
For primary aged kids, we have excellent safe, fun and educational children’s programs running at the same time as our 9am service, where children can enjoy singing songs and exploring the Bible through teaching, craft and games. To join us for our Online Children’s Program click here.
Our high school-aged youth currently meet online on Friday nights at 7:30pm for our Glue & Stick Youth groups. We also have a GlueStick Sunday Service Zoom Watch Party every Sunday from 10:30am-12:30pm.

On the outside, Andrew looks like a regular north coast (Ballina!) surfie. But on the inside, Andrew is a nerdy academic. He completed a Master of Divinity (at Sydney Missionary and Bible College) and Master of Arts Theology (at Christ College), and loves to read and research.
Andrew also has a BA and DipEd and was a high school visual arts teacher. He loves using his creativity to come up with imaginative ways to explain God’s amazing message of freedom in the Bible and to help people know Christ and grow in Christ by digging deep into the treasure of God’s word.
Andrew is married to Krissie, and they have three children. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys surfing, art, and exploring the great outdoors with his family.
Morgan Powell brings a local and international flavour to our ministry team at WSCCC. Although he grew up and went to school in Bexley, in Sydney’s south, he has lived in East Africa, Los Angeles, and Jackson Hole. His travels have taken him from Morocco to Mexico.
Over 25 years ago, Morgan left accounting to go into full time Christian ministry. Morgan has served as a pastor, church planter, youth minister, teacher, and missions director in a variety of places such as Beverly Hills, West Pennant Hills in Australia; and Ecuador and Peru in South America. As a result, Morgan no longer knows which soccer team to support.
Happiness is a frame of mind. Morgan is equally happy with instant International Roast or a cold pour single origin coffee; a Mexican burrito or a Shanghai Xia Long Bao. As a result, Morgan has no idea what to order at Chatime. You’ll have to order for him.
But Morgan is single-minded when it comes to pastoral ministry. He brings his wisdom, life-experience, and pastoral know-how to care, grow, and strengthen us at WSCCC.
Morgan is married to Anna, who attended youth group and was a youth group leader at WSCCC back in the day. They are blessed with two resilient daughters who can survive 72 hour plane trips.
At WS Strathfield, we have a heart to reach out to the world with God’s love and truth. Jesus calls his followers to be ‘salt’ and ‘light’ and be a positive influence in the world around us. Jesus calls his followers to love each other. Jesus also calls us to teach people God’s truth and help people grow as his followers. This means we care about people. We care about justice. We care about the needy – locally and abroad. We care about everyone, including children and youth having the opportunity to hear the truth about Jesus. And we seek to reach out both in our local communities and around the world. To read more, click here.
