Baptism Classes:  Baptism classes will commence on the 1st September in preparation for baptism in November. Classes will be held for 6 consecutive Sundays. For those who would like to be baptised in November, please see Chee Yee.

The last night of Winter School is this Wednesday. Please arrive earlier than previous weeks at 7pm. We look forward to an excellent three course       dinner, music and discussion around the theme ‘WS Exposed’ with Mark Boyley, Sam Chan, Des, Anthony and Chee Yee. This is about understanding       our church and working out where we fit. A chance to ask those questions you’ve always wanted to…!

Faith Promise Giving – We give thanks to God for the great response. We have received $197,157, which well exceeds the original $160,000 target. This will make a significant contribution to this year’s mission budget of $238,000. Please keep praying that God will enable us to fulfil our promises and support our missionaries. Faith Promise Giving may be placed in the offering bags using the white or brown Mission Offering envelopes available on the usher’s desk.

This year we celebrate the 35th anniversary of the founding of our church. Together, our congregations will give thanks to God on Sunday, Nov 10, with a combined Thanksgiving Service at PLC School Croydon (10am), and in the evening a Thanksgiving Banquet at Rhodes Phoenix Restaurant (6pm). Mark this date in your calendars, as we join together as one church before God. Tickets for the seafood banquet will be on sale throughout September ($50 per       adult, $20 per primary-school child). Please assist by booking whole tables of 12 with your friends.

Ariel is based in Ferguson Lodge (Lidcombe). To visit please contact Lydia Tan: lltan@iprimus.com.au See blog at http://wsccc.org.au/prayingforariel for prayerpoints.
