2015/16 Faith Promise Giving – We give thanks that God has enabled WSCCC to send many missionaries to share the gospel in many parts of the world and that we exceeded the 2014/15 Faith Promise Giving Target. Starting in July 2015, our target is to raise $170,000 for Faith Promise Giving in 2015/2016 to financially provide for our missionaries. Please be praying about this and fill in a Faith Promise Giving form as God leads. The Faith Promise Giving return slip will be collected during the service this morning. We also enclose in the bulletin a profile for our missionaries printed in colour.
Because of our Missions Month guest preacher today, June’s Holy Communion will be on 5th July.
Following the acceptance of Kian Holik as a local missionary of the church, we will hold a commissioning service to affirm and send him on his ministry of the gospel to students at Macquarie University. Please join us for this service at 1:30pm, Sunday July 19 at WSCCC Strathfield, followed by afternoon tea.
Children Ministry: Sunday school will have holiday program for 28 June, 5 and 12 July, designed for Year 4 children and younger. We encourage our Year 5 and 6 children to join their parents in our 9am English service. Term 3 will start on 14 July for Play Group and 19 July for Sunday school.
City Bible Forum (Christmas in July) – come along for a night of fun, food, live music (Jake Nauta) and a talk by Sam Chan at the Hotel CBD (6:30pm) on the Thursday 16th July. The cost is $25 and please register by 1 July at org/christmasinjuly.
Alex & Naomi Fung (Serving in Japan) – Please keep Alex in prayer as he has had an operation for Testicular Cancer and is preparing for Chemotherapy. Pray that our Lord will graciously heal him and restore his health. Pray for Naomi, pray that the Lord will protect her and give her strength to journey with Alex along the difficult road ahead.
