Bulletin Announcements – 1 October 2017

  • Announcement from the Diaconate: Following last Sunday’s Annual General Meeting, all three motions for members’ vote were passed. Of 302 votes cast, 99.3% voted for the appointment of Eva Wong as Children’s Ministry Worker (Part-Time) at Strathfield; 85.7% voted to accept the Church Development Plan; and 84.9% voted to appoint 18 deacons for the next Diaconate term. May we seek God’s guidance and providence for the future of our church.
  • Baptism Classes: Baptism is an outward sign (washed by water) of an inward reality (washed by Jesus’ blood from sin). Therefore, if you love and trust in the Lord Jesus as your Saviour but have not yet been baptised I invite you to attend our Baptism Classes. Please contact pastors Ariel or Andrew.
  • Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting: this Wednesday (Oct 4th) at 8pm in the Upper Hall is our church’s combined prayer meeting. The Croydon Park English congregation is leading and we’ll get to hear and prayer about their ministries and for the rest of our church too. Everyone is invited.
  • NextGen 2018: KCC NextGen Conference provides excellent training for people in Youth and Children’s ministry leadership, understanding the Bible and teaching the Bible to others.  We are taking a group to NextGen on January 15-19, 2018.   • New Service: We are moving forward with plans for a new service to start in February 2018! We invite you to come to our New Service Vision MeetingSunday October 29 at 4:30pm to hear the vision and see how you can be part of this new initiative for the glory of God and the sharing of His love and truth in Jesus. See Andrew Bardsley or Les Lee for more information.
