Online service, 28th June
Welcome to our CP10 service online
We’re glad that you’ve joined our service today! Please contact our Pastor, Chadd Hafer, if you have any prayer requests or feedback from our online service, or leave a comment at the end of our service.
Songs of worship
Let’s begin in worship at home by ourselves, with family or with friends by declaring how we need God as our foundation. A powerful lyrics in this song, applicable to 2020, is “when I soar through realms unknown, bow before the judgement throne, hide me then my refuge be, rock of ages cleft for me” – this year has thrown many curveballs and unknown unknowns to us, but the one thing that remains constant is God’s presence, and God’s provision to us.
During missions month, we not only examine how we should spread God’s word, but also why – and the reason why some of us dedicate our lives to sharing the gospel is due to God’s immeasurable love. If we’ve received it, we’d of course want others to know God’s love.
2020 Missions Month
Today as we conclude our annual June Missions Month, our CP10 children’s coordinator, Georgie will be preaching her maiden sermon at CP10, on Jesus’ Great Commission (Matthew 28:16 – 20).
Church Deveolpment Project
The Church Development Project will be resuming! There remains $300,000 to reach full budget for the project. Our bi-monthly special CDP offering will be collected today (June 28). You can give shortly by going to https://wsccc.org.au/giving/
Please also consider contributing an interest-free loan to help us to get going with this project this year (please speak to Des or Anthony about the details).
Faith Promise Giving
We give thanks to God for his abundant provisions for our missionaries in the current financial year. We are now launching the Faith Promise Giving 2020/21 to support our missionaries. The details can be found in the Faith Promise Giving 2020/21 Form. If you are already giving to support our missionaries, please just continue to do so. If you have not partnered in this way, please prayerfully consider how God will enable you to do so, even $5 per week is a good start.

Men’s ministry – Get Smart
Men’s Ministry: Get Smart – Join us on Saturday 4 July at 2pm on Zoom, as we explore how to ‘get smart’ as men. Pastor Andrew will share five keys for holistic intelligence for all of life. We’ll also run a game of trivia and a Q&A session, and spend time encouraging and praying for one another as brothers in Christ. Find out more here and RSVP to Pastor Wayne Mok
Please pray that God will continue to provide all the needs of his church. Please also prayerfully consider how you can give to support the overall mission of this church.
Financial giving towards gospel work is a way we Christians worship God in response to the grace we’ve received from Him, to whom all praises, glory and honour are due. If you haven’t yet set up a regular electronic giving, we invite you now to prayerfully consider your response to this call to worship. Below are our weekly budget to support various ministries and details to direct your offerings.
- General fund: ($22,540)
- Mission fund: ($4,722)
- Building fund: (remaining target to raise $300,000)

Bible reading & sermon
Our Bible passage today is taken from the Gospel of Matthew (28:16-20)
Matthew 28:16-20 (audio)
The Great Commission
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Response and reflection
In response to Georgie’s sermon, this song encourages us to spread God’s word everywhere – instead of people “calling this place their home,” we should tell them how our home is with Christ.
