Missions Faith Promise Giving: Please remember to place your completed faith promise giving slips in the offering bags when you return them. Our target for 2017/18 is $213,000 and 180 return slips. Please continue to pray that God will enable us to meet these target.
This year we have produced a Mission calendar to help us consistently pray for mission and our missionaries during our personal quiet time and family devotions. Please take a copy for your household.
Pray for Short Termers – Jasmine Lepelaar (CP10) is in Fiji on a 4 week short term mission with Youthworks gap year program. News and prayer points can be found at https://year13.net/parents/bula-blog/. Andrew Lin (English 9am) is in South East Asia for a 3 week short term mission as part of SMBC’s gap year program (“The Bridge”). Alex Tan (CP10) will be leaving in late July to volunteer at the Shelter Hostel in Amsterdam (http://www.shelterhostelamsterdam.com/) for one year. Please remember them in prayer, that God will protect them, help them to learn from the long term workers and to be salt & light where ever God might place them.
Ordination of Andrew Bardsley: The Diaconate is pleased to announce that Andrew Bardsley will be ordained as a minister of WSCCC. He has undergone interview by an ordination panel consisting of ministers from WSCCC, representatives from SCCCA and other churches, and affirmed by the Diaconate. His Ordination Service will occur at 2pm on Sunday, July 16 at WSCCC Strathfield. Please join us in giving thanks and affirming the Reverend-designate Andrew Bardsley in his ministry.
Holidays: Pastor Ariel is away on holidays for 2 Sundays.
Term 2 ends today for Sunday school, we will have holiday program for 2, 9 and 16 July. Term 3 will start 23 July for Sunday school and 18 July for Play Group. For safety reason, Sunday school encourages parents to pick their children up from Sunday school promptly after worship service finish.
