WSCCC is an evangelical independent church spread across 7 services, conducted in 3 languages (English, Mandarin and Cantonese). The services are located in two campuses based in inner-west Sydney (Strathfield and Croydon Park).
Strathfield English has two Sunday services – 9am and 4:30pm. Croydon English has one Sunday service at 10am. All three are growing, energetic, multicultural, cross-generational congregations.
We seek to maintain a tradition of strong Biblical teaching through our Sunday services as well as our associated ministries. Our congregation has a culture of being committed to serving and training in ministry.
Our outreach is both local and global. Although part of a Chinese church we are open to people of all backgrounds and in touch with contemporary Australian society.
We are currently on the look out for an English congregation pastor, youth pastor and children’s ministry coordinator. See below for details.
The English Pastor is a member of the pastoral team of the whole church: working closely with the English congregations’ pastoral team but also working with the pastors of other language congregations.
The English Pastor is a member of the Diaconate which consists of the church’s Deacons and the Pastoral Team.
In this case, the core responsibilities of Strathfield English pastors are to oversee, lead and participate in the Strathfield English services with the aim to grow the members of that congregation.

About You
The applicant we are seeking should have a Biblical vision for growing God’s kingdom globally.
You should have a theology degree from a recognised Bible or Theological College, hold an evangelical perspective, have a pastoral heart, possess spiritual and relational maturity and be able to work in a ministry team. It is also vital that the applicant can work collaboratively, as they will be working with other ministers as part of the English congregations’ pastoral team, as well as with the pastors of other language congregations, and the Diaconate.
You must be willing to work in an independent congregational church structure. Cross–cultural understanding or experience within the contemporary Australian culture is important, particularly Australian-born Chinese. However, the applicant need not be of Asian background.
