Knowing Jesus. Loving People.

Thanks for visiting CroydonPark@10! We are a warm and friendly community, welcoming people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds.

Our  Sunday services focus on the reading and teaching of the Bible, as well as responding to God through our prayers and singing. We often have interviews, special items and a time for questions. We hope you can stay for morning tea, and leave challenged and encouraged. We also have many other church activities beyond Sundays. Our overall aim is to proclaim and worship Jesus Christ in all we do.

Our motto is ‘Knowing Jesus. Loving People’. We want to know God better through Jesus: ‘I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord’ (Philippians 3:8). We want to love each other and we want to love all people: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself’ (Mark 12:31).

CroydonPark@10 is an English congregation of West Sydney Chinese Christian Church. Our other church campus is located at 90 Homebush Road, Strathfield.

We hope you enjoy exploring our website and consider visiting us on Sundays at 10am.

Babies, Toddlers, Kids & Youth

Babies & Toddlers

On Sundays, parents with babies and toddlers are encouraged to use the extra space at the back of the hall where you are able to listen to and engage with the church service.

On Tuesday mornings 9:30am – 11:00am in the church hall during school term, we also host kidstime – a playgroup for parents, carers and families with children who are not of school-age. Come and enjoy a cuppa and a chat with other parents and carers.  There will also be time for craft, stories and singing!

BYO morning tea for your own children.  A donation of $2 per family is requested to help cover the cost of craft materials. For further information about kidstime, please contact Stephanie.

Children’s Programs

Our Sunday Kid’s Ministry programs focus on the Bible. We want our kids to see God’s unfolding story of his love for them, ultimately through the person and work of Jesus. We aim to communicate this in a fun, meaningful and engaging way to the children.

Kid’s Ministry caters for kids up to primary school age. We have four groups:

  • Pre-schoolers
  • Kindergarten to year 2
  • Years 3 to 4
  • Years 5 to 6

Kids’ Ministry starts just before the Sunday service sermon begins and runs until the end of service. We encourage families to start the service together and then the teachers take the kids down to their respective rooms.

Our Kids’ Ministry team comes from our own congregation who are committed to teach the Bible to our kids on Sundays.  Each class has a teacher plus a helper. All our team members who deal with children have fulfilled all the legal Child Protection requirements and are trained for the task.

High School Youth

Our CPHigh youth ministry meets on the first Sunday of every month at 9am (before our service). If you are in high school, this is an awesome way to get to know some of the others in congregation whilst exploring more about God. There is also the Glue youth group which meets on Friday nights at 7:30pm at 90 Homebush Road, Strathfield.

Our Pastors

Chadd Hafer

Chadd Hafer

Chadd Hafer has been CP10’s full-time pastor since 2014. Over the past 30 years he has ministered in numerous churches in Australia and the USA. He studied in the US and graduate from Moore Theological College in 1997.

Chadd first came to Australia over 20 years ago as the preacher on evangelistic tours with Christian basketball teams and Christian music groups. During the early 1990’s, he was teaching Scripture in a Gold Coast high school. One of the students he taught is now our youth pastor Andrew Bardsley! Another blessing from this ministry was that Chadd taught alongside a lovely young lady called Parisa. The rest is history. They married, and today have two grown up kids: Savannah and Noah.

Chadd is eclectic. In Chadd’s garage is a gym – he’s a fitness freak. In the kitchen, he puts together some mean Vietnamese rice paper rolls. In the forest, he once worked as a woodchopper. In the Blue Mountains, he helped Parisa run their vintage goods store, Frou Frou Old and New. In Koorong, you can find his animated children’s DVD series, The Treasure House.

Chadd’s ministry motto is based on Galatians 5:6 “All that matters is faith in Jesus Christ, expressing itself in love for one another.” Therefore, Chadd is passionate that non-salvation issues don’t overshadow our unity and faith in the gospel.
