What is SHUM?

Running since 2000, Surry Hills Urban Mission (SHUM), is an local mission created to share the Gospel with the people of Surry Hills and Central Station; particularly those people living on the streets or disadvantaged.

What does it involve?

Each month, a team of Christians commits to serving in SHUM every Tuesday night throughout the month and one Sunday morning.

Why should I be involved?

  • Our own city of Sydney needs missionaries! Reach the unreached people of Sydney, in our own backyard.
  • Through participating in SHUM, become more educated and prepared to evangelise more readily in their own lives, with friends and family.
