Aaron and Amy have 4 children – Zoe, Felicity, Jonathan and Mitchell. Their long term plan is to serve as missionaries with OMF in Taiwan.
In February 2013, they left us to be at the one month OMF Orientation Course in Singapore. In this course they will learn skills in learning languages, looking after health, managing cross-cultural stress, understanding world-views and conflict resolution. Maybe we all need to go to this course!
In March, they will go to Taiwan to begin their first missionary “term” – which will last 5 years (4 years in Taiwan, and 1 year home assignment in Australia).
During this time, they will learn languages – Mandarin and Taiwanese – for the first 2 years, and after that, they will join a church planting team that serves the working class people of Taiwan.
Being a church planter is not the same as being a pastor. Aaron will not be going to Taiwan to pastor a church. Instead, Aaron and Amy will both be looking to be involved in telling people about Jesus and helping them grow in their understanding of God. The role of a church planter is not to do everything, but to help the local Christians work out how to live and think as a Christian in their own Taiwanese context.

Latest update (March 2013)
Aaron and Amy, and the kids, left Australia in February, and are now in Singapore attending the Orientation Course (OC) in Singapore. This course will equip them for entering the new culture of Taiwan. Then they fly to Taipei, Taiwan, to spend the next 2 years learning the language and culture.
Aaron and Amy would love it if you prayed for them!
- thank God for their comfortable accommodation in Singapore
- God to pour out his Spirit on Malaysia and Taiwan – so that many will call on his name and know him personally
