    • EQUIP 2018 – LIVESTREAM– Saturday, 19th May “Life at the Table” 1 Corinthians 11:17-34. Feeling hungry? Come join us as we live-stream this exciting annual women’s conference from 9.30am–3.00pm in the Upper Hall at WSCCC. We will explore some memorable meals from the Bible and be fed both physically and spiritually. Gather around the table for only $25 (Concession: $20) for morning tea and lunch. Registrations start to-day and open to May 6th only.

    • Notice from the Diaconate: Following the completion of Rev Dominic Ku’s first term of ministry on 30th June, 2018, the Diaconate has resolved to renew his contract for another term of 3 years, during which Rev Ku will take a new direction and minister at the Croydon Park Mandarin congregation (CPM). Please pray for Rev Ku and our Mandarin congregations at both Strathfield and Croydon Park.

    • Announcement from the Diaconate: Notice is nearby given for members to attend an Extraordinary General Meeting to vote to send Matthew and Jennifer Lim as long-term missionaries of the church, to serve in Japan with CMS. The EGM will be held at 12:30pm on Sunday, 20th May, 2018 at Strathfield Chapel. Please refer to the insert for the background information of Matthew and Jennifer. Proxy voting forms will also be made available next week for those unable to attend.

    Inner West Scripture Team’s Commissioning Celebration: You’re invited to the Inner West Scripture Team’s commissioning celebration to find out more about Scripture classes in local high schools and entrust our new coordinator and volunteer teachers to God for 2018. When: Today, 1:30pm-3:00pm. Where: Rivers Edge Church, Newington.

    • Anniversary Celebrations: Thank God for a wonderful day last Sunday as we gave thanks for our church’s 40th anniversary. Both the service and the dinner were occasions for great worship and fellowship. We were greatly encouraged by your attendance, which was about 723 people at the worship service and 460 people at the dinner! Also, the raffle at the dinner raised $4,481.40 towards the CDP! Thank you for being part of the WS family!

    • Deacon Information Session: With the election of deacons in September, the process of deacon nominations will commence shortly. Therefore, an information session on deaconship and the appointment process will be held on today at 2pm in the Strathfield upper hall. Anyone is welcome to attend and if you’re particularly considering being a deacon or on a deacon-nomination-committee we’d love to see you there.

    • A Childrens’ Program by CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) will be run at our 40th Anniversary Combined Service for children aged between 4 to 12. Children outside this age group will need to stay with their parents during the service.
    • Sunday School: Term 1 Sunday School Holiday Program will run on 22nd April and 29th April. 8.55 Creche & 9amites, 8.55 KA, 10.30 Cantonese KA, 10.30 Mandarin KA will run a holiday program. There will be no 10.30 English KA program during these 2 weeks.
