Understanding Anxiety and Depression Seminar: on Wednesday the 8th of November at 7:30pm in the Upper Hall in Strathfield you’re invited to hear from a Christian counsellor (Lindy Hadges) what anxiety and depression is, how to cope with it and how to help others who are going through it. Lindy specialises in psychotherapy and has a lot of experience working with people who have anxiety and depression.

 

THANKSGIVING this Saturday!! Please come and join us at our last Ladies Fellowship event for the year! Date: THIS Saturday 11 November 2017 at 3pm-5pmVenue: WSCCC Upper Hall. Ladies of all ages are invited to a time of thanksgiving – we will give thanks through music, reading God’s word, prayer and fellowship over afternoon tea. Carols On The Lawn: This year S9 will hold it’s first Christmas Carols on the front lawn of the church! It will be a great opportunity for the church to share in the spirit of Christmas with the community. Please save the date for Sunday 17th December 2017. There will be a BBQ starting at 5:30pm and followed by a short Children’s program and then the Carols program. We are looking for more helpers with the BBQ and the Children’s program. Announcement from the Diaconate:

  • Following prayers and discussions between the Cantonese Deacons and Rev Law about his contract renewal, the Diaconate has accepted their proposal for a further 3 year term, and that from November 2017, Rev Law’s contract will be renewed as Part-Time (80%) till to October 2018. In this 12 months period, Rev Law will still be taking up the position as the Co-ordinating Minister and the Cantonese Congregation Lead Minister. From November 2018, the contract will be further revised to 60% till to October 2020. We thank God for the dedication and faithful service of Rev Law and Mrs Law in the past 6 years and would like to ask the congregations to continue supporting their future services in WSCCC in prayers.
  • Eva Wong will be commencing the part-time position as Children’s Ministry Coordinator at Strathfield from 12 November. Please continue to support Eva’s service in WSCCC in your prayer.
