Bulletin Announcements – 16 July 2017

  • Mission Faith Promise Giving: Our 2017/18 target is $213,000 across 180 returned slips. As of last Sunday, we have received a total of $110,623 across 95 returned slips. Please continue to pray that God will enable us to achieve the targets and give thanks for what we have received to date. Please also be praying for our 7 long term missionary families and also the following doing a short term mission (Jasmine Lepelaar in Fiji, Andrew Lin in SE Asia, Jacqui Ng in Singapore OMF HQ, Alex Tan in Amsterdam from late July 2017).
  • Ordination of Andrew Bardsley: The Diaconate is pleased to announce that Andrew Bardsley will be ordained as a minister of WSCCC. He has undergone interview by an ordination panelconsisting of ministers from WSCCC, representatives from SCCCA and other churches, and affirmed by the Diaconate. His Ordination Service will occur at 2pm today at WSCCC Strathfield. Please join us in giving thanks and affirming the Reverend-designate Andrew Bardsley in his ministry.
  • Sunday school will have holiday program for today. Term 3 will start 23 July for Sunday school and 18 July for Play Group.
  • Salt 2017: The theme for this year’s CP10 August SALT forums is: ‘Living As Christians In A Post-Christian Society’. The topics will cover the meaning of ‘post-Christian society’ and how we can evangelize, engage with the media, and raise children in this secular environment. The forums will take place over four Wednesday evenings (9th – 30th Aug, 7:30pm). Promotional invites will be available soon.
