  • Term 2starts today for Sunday School and 2 May for Play Group. We are excited to learn more about God’s word with your children again. For safety reason, parents are to pick their children up from Sunday school promptly after Sunday school classes finish. It is also a good opportunity to catch up with our leaders about what the kids are learning on the day.

  • Announcement from the Diaconate: It is with regret that, Liza Mihardja has resigned(with effect from 1 May 2017), from her role as Sunday School Coordinator at Strathfield, a ministry she has served in since 2012, and is moving into a new job. We thank her for her service in our church. Although she will no longer coordinate the ministry, she will continue to worship at WSCCC, and be involved in some aspects of Sunday School as a volunteer. The church will now look for a new Sunday School coordinator – if you are willing to consider this ministry role, or know anyone suitable, please contact one of the pastors or deacons.

  • Announcement from the Diaconate: As his term of appointment comes to completion on 30 June 2017, we regret to announce that Rev Andrew Choy has chosen not to renew his contractfor a further 3 years as offered by the Diaconate as minister at WSCCC, but will be moving onto a different ministry. During his transition, he indicated he will continue to be informally involved in some ministries at WSCCC. The church thanks the Choy family for their faithful ministry during the past 3 years, and pray for God’s guidance and blessing for the future.

  • Prayer for New Service: God has blessed Strathfield 9am with much growth, and we are now quite full each week. We have a vision under God to start a new service to continue to build up God’s people and reach out to others with the life-saving message of the Gospel. As we plan the new service, we seek God’s leading and rely on God’s power, so we ask you to commit to praying regularly for God’s guidance and blessing on the new service. Whether you intend to join the new service or not, you’re welcome to join Mr John Hing at the prayer group before Strathfield 9am each week to commit our existing S9 service and the new service plans to God in prayer. When: Sundays at 8am. Where: Sunday School Room 4.
