I saw my all time favourite street sign again this week.

It’s painted on part of Granville Baptist church where Ariel’s parents used to attend and I see it each day when I travel to Granville to work on their house.

I kind of like this photo better, taken a week ago.

I know that Jesus saves on the sunny days, but I particularly need to know it on the cloudy days.

I love it that the street sign below indicates “no u turn”, I’d like to think it’s wise advice to not turn away.

Ariel has been deeply immersed in the financial and administrative sorting of his parents estate.

I have been deeply immersed in their spoons!  (and 38 years of worldly possessions).

It’s a recipe for February fatigue, but there should be an end soon.

For Prayer:

Thanks that Jesus saves.

Thanks for friends & family with skills who have generously stepped up to help us with clearing out Ariel’s parents house. (He is an only child)

For God’s graciousness in the imminent sale which will fund his mothers aged care room.

For improved balance for Ariel and wisdom for us all.

“Moths and rust will destroy treasures here on earth.

And thieves can break into your house and steal the things you have.

So store your treasure in heaven.

The treasures in heaven cannot be destroyed by moths or rust”

Matt 6:19-20 (ICB)

This has been on my mind as I sort spoons and think about the crazy distraction that our earthly possessions can be.
